With results in from the Democratic primary runoffs, DPG Chair Charlie Bailey released the following statement:
“The Democratic Party of Georgia congratulates Lieutenant Governor nominee Josh McLaurin, Secretary of State nominee Penny Brown Reynolds, Insurance Commissioner nominee Keisha Sean Waites, and Labor Commissioner nominee Nikki Porcher on their victories in tonight’s runoff elections. These strong Democrats have shown they’re ready to fight for Georgians, from lowering costs to protecting health care, and to end 23 years of failed Republican rule that has left the American Dream less attainable now than it was in our state 23 years ago when they took power.
“With the leadership of Senator Jon Ossoff and Keisha Lance Bottoms at the top of our ticket, the Democratic Party of Georgia is ready to continue building the strongest coordinated campaign this state has ever seen that will deliver victories for working people at every level of the ballot.”
