The campaign represents the first major investment of the 2026 Senate race by either state party
The Democratic Party of Georgia launched a statewide billboard campaign focused on holding GOP U.S. Senate candidates “MAGA warrior” Buddy Carter, MAGA extremist Mike Collins, and failed and fired former Tennessee football coach Derek Dooley accountable for their continued opposition to extending crucial ACA tax credits and hiking premiums for 1.4 million Georgians.
The campaign comes after the January 15th open enrollment deadline passed and Georgians on ACA were not granted any extension due to Republicans like Buddy Carter and Mike Collins consistently voting against any extension of the tax credits—a position that Dooley supports.

The billboards are running in Atlanta, targeting Derek Dooley; in Athens, targeting Mike Collins in his congressional district; and in Savannah, targeting Buddy Carter in his congressional district.
A recent KFF analysis found that ACA premiums could skyrocket by up to $885 per month in Buddy Carter’s district and $936 per month in Mike Collins’ district—the highest for any congressional district in the state. Dooley has offered no substantive policy alternative to protect Georgians’ health care.
“Georgia Democrats are making it clear that Buddy Carter, Mike Collins, and Derek Dooley will not get by scot free for supporting skyrocketing premiums and making life more unaffordable for hardworking Georgians,” said Democratic Party of Georgia Chair Charlie Bailey. “We are going to hold their feet to the fire and make Carter, Collins, and Dooley own the harmful agenda they are pushing on Georgians in order to bend the knee to Donald Trump and ensure that none of these three candidates get anywhere near a United States Senate seat.”
