ATLANTA — In response to U.S. Senator J.D. Vance’s nomination as the Republican Vice Presidential candidate, the Democratic Party of Georgia released the following statement:

“J.D. Vance’s vision for our country leaves large swaths of America out in the cold: denying women the freedom over their own body, targeting seniors who depend on Social Security and Medicare, and imperiling the middle-class economic growth and progress we’ve realized under President Biden – including the 30,000 good-paying jobs that exist right here in Georgia as a direct result of the Inflation Reduction Act that he did not support,” said DPG Executive Director Tolulope Kevin Olasanoye. “While Vance is willing to ignore the January 6 insurrection and make false incendiary statements for his own personal political gain, we’re going to keep working hard to re-elect President Biden and Vice President Harris this November.”
