Dublin, GA – Today, Democratic Party of Georgia Chair DuBose Porter issued the following statement on the Anniversary of September 11th.

“It’s been five years since the U.S. Congress designated September 11th as the National Day of Service and Remembrance.

“When faced with one of our nation’s greatest tragedies, America proved our strength and resolve–facing down fear as a united community. This is in large part due to the honor and courage of our country’s first responders.

“Today, I will observe this Day of Service and Remembrance by expressing my gratitude to every firefighter, police officer, or first responder I see. We entrust these women and men to keep our families safe, healthy, and secure–and words will never express the gratitude I have for these modern day heroes.”
