BRUNSWICK – This week, Democratic Party of Georgia Chair Charlie Bailey barnstormed Coastal Georgia to meet with local Democrats, share his plan to elect Democrats up and down the ticket in Coastal Georgia and beyond, and build enthusiasm ahead of the 2025 and 2026 elections.
Chair Bailey’s stops included a Town Hall in deep-red Camden County with more than 100 people in attendance, including one Congressional candidate, two candidates for Lieutenant Governor, and one candidate for Governor; meetings with faith and local leaders in Brunswick and Hinesville; Sunday church service in Savannah at the oldest Black church in North America; interviews with seven local papers; and a women’s luncheon with more than 60 in Glynn County Democrats in attendance to kick off organizing efforts ahead of this year’s Public Service Commission election and next.
The visit included stops in some of the reddest counties in the state – including Brantley County (voted 91% for Trump in 2024), Camden County (67.5% Trump), Charlton County (77.9% Trump), Glynn County (63% Trump), McIntosh County (64% Trump), and Ware County (71.4% Trump).
“At the Democratic Party of Georgia we’re not taking any ‘off years’ – we are organizing in every corner of the state, leaving no community behind, and not losing a single moment as we get ready to elect Democrats at every level of the ticket this year and next,” said Chair Bailey.
