Today, the Democratic Party of Georgia released a new video, “Derek Who-ley?”, spotlighting right wing radio’s continued takedown of failed and fired former Tennessee football coach Derek Dooley for his absence on the campaign trail.

These hits come as Dooley is getting slammed for being less “visible” than his opponents in this “combustible” primary and for fumbling his first major interview, where he “danced all around” issues.

This isn’t the first time Dooley has been dissed by ring-wing radio – just the other week, multiple commentators slammed the failed and former Tennessee football coach for his abysmal record in the SEC and NFL.

  • [TIM BRYANT, WGAU-AM] “Where’s Derek Dooley been? Haven’t seen Derek Dooley yet.”
  • “Why isn’t he out there already? Because Cody Hall thinks he’s not ready. Cody Hall thought he was ready to be out there. Cody Hall thinks you’re not ready yet.”
  • “Derek Dooley, honestly 8%? This is not a slap or a slur. It’s just a statement of my expectation of things. 8% seems optimistic.”
  • [BILL CRANE, WDUN] “I don’t see a path unless he has some sort of message that really resonates because he’s unknown to the party, he’s unknown to most Georgians, he coached at Tennessee.”
  • [TIM BRYANT, WGAU-AM] “There’s no reason to be pro-Derek Dooley. Because you don’t know him!”
  • “This could be over for him in six weeks.”
