After the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released the latest state unemployment figures, Democratic Party of Georgia Executive Director Scott Hogan released the following statement:
“Donald Trump’s leadership failure is devastating our economy and costing Georgians our health, jobs, and for far too many, their lives. In addition to passing 200,000 confirmed coronavirus cases, hundreds of thousands of Georgians are still jobless and many are without the health care coverage they desperately need. And instead of listening to public health experts, Trump thinks the virus will just ‘go away like things go away.’ Georgians desperately need a president who will take this virus seriously, listen to public health experts and lift us from recession. Joe Biden has done it before, and he’ll do it again once elected in November.”
