Kemp Will Forever Be Georgia’s “Asterisk Governor”

ATLANTA– Today, Democratic Party of Georgia Chair DuBose Porter issued the following statement:

“Today marks a dark day in Georgia’s history as Brian Kemp, the architect of voter suppression, takes office as our next governor. After a campaign built on hate, countless lawsuits, and unprecedented oversight over his own election, Kemp has already shown his hand: he is more committed to his own self-interest than the needs of Georgia families. His term is already marked by weak leadership and failure to work on behalf of voters as he abandons his campaign promises. ‘Governor’ Brian Kemp will forever have a cloud over his head, and an asterisk by his name.”
