Following the DNC’s announcement of the location of the 2024 Democratic National Convention, Congresswoman Nikema Williams, Chair of the Democratic Party of Georgia, released the following statement:
“While we are disappointed that Atlanta was not selected to host the 2024 Democratic National Convention, Georgia Democrats congratulate our friends in Chicago and look forward to proudly representing the Peach State in support of President Biden alongside Democrats from across the country.
“Convention or no, we know that Georgia will remain the center of the political universe in 2024. Driven by the strength of our richly diverse coalition of voters, Georgia has become the country’s premier battleground state, delivering historic wins for Democrats and changing the trajectory of our entire nation. Georgia represents the future of the Democratic Party – and we will continue to invest in that future by working to elect Democrats up and down the ballot in 2024.”
