In celebration of the beginning of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, Congresswoman Nikema Williams, Chair of the Democratic Party of Georgia, released the following statement:

“This month is an opportunity to celebrate the Asian American and Pacific Islander community that forms such a vital, vibrant part of the fabric of our state and country. Georgia’s growing, diverse AAPI community – comprising myriad cultures, ethnicities, languages, and unique experiences – enriches our state every day. As we begin Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month this week, Georgia Democrats recommit ourselves to uplifting the AAPI community year-round and continuing to build a state that embraces our diversity as our greatest strength.”
