New reporting from Capital B News underscores the challenges with Georgians that GOP U.S. Senate nominee Mike Collins’ campaign is running into “as questions about a member of his family’s white nationalist views — and the candidate’s own social media history — continue to generate negative headlines.”
Capital B’s reporting comes just days after Collins “abruptly ended” a press conference while being pressed multiple times by multiple Georgia reporters to answer questions on his ties to white nationalism and after he was caught on camera running from those same questions.
In recent weeks, Georgians have also learned that Mike Collins recently fired his congressional chief of staff, Kip Talley, after reporting uncovered that Talley was using his role in Collins’ office to attempt to free a Holocaust denier from jail while briefing infamous white nationalists such as Nick Fuentes and Richard Spencer on his efforts.
Collins has also faced scrutiny for the antisemitic harassment of a Jewish reporter and praising the viciously racist harassment of a Black woman with monkey sounds on a college campus.
Collins has refused to retract either of those comments and also declined to interview with Capital B News for their story.

- The Georgia NAACP called for an ethics investigation into Collins in 2024 after he reposted a video on X showing a Black woman being heckled with monkey chants by white students at the University of Mississippi.
