Once again, “MAGA warrior” Rep. Buddy Carter and MAGA extremist Rep. Mike Collins just voted to make affordable health care more expensive for Georgia’s working families by voting for a GOP-led bill that fails to extend Affordable Health Care Act subsidies expiring at the end of the year — which 1.4 million Georgians rely on to afford their health care.

“Buddy Carter and Mike Collins have betrayed Georgians with their votes to make health care more expensive after voting for Medicaid cuts that are already forcing rural hospitals in Georgia to close,” said Democratic Party of Georgia Senior Communications Advisor Devon Cruz. “Georgians rely on these tax cuts to keep them and their families healthy, and they’ll remember that Carter and Collins decided to strip them away.”

The votes from Carter and Collins come after they supported Donald Trump’s budget law that is projected to leave 750,000 Georgians uninsured and as earlier reporting found that ACA subsidies help 95% of Georgians on ACA health care plans afford their insurance.

Carter and Collins have been staunchly opposed to protecting affordable health care for Georgians even as rural hospitals face potential closures and Georgians take drastic measures to keep their families insured:
