Today, the Inflation Reduction Act was signed into law, ensuring huge health care wins for Georgia thanks to Reverend Warnock — including finally giving Medicare the ability to negotiate drug prices on behalf of Georgia seniors. The legislation lowers health care costs for over one million Georgians, decreases the deficit by more than $300 billion, and will create good-paying Georgia jobs. Meanwhile, GOP Senate candidate Herschel Walker says he opposes this victory for Georgians.
Walker has spent his campaign stops lying about the Inflation Reduction Act, accusing Democrats of “[spending] money we don’t have.” In reality, the Inflation Reduction Act would reduce the deficit by more than $300 billion, saving taxpayers money while lowering prescription drug costs.
