Georgia Democrats turn Dooley’s “Your film is your resume” argument back on the failed and fired Tennessee football coach
Today, the Democratic Party of Georgia launched a new billboard in Atlanta mocking GOP U.S. Senate candidate and failed and fired former Tennessee football coach Derek Dooley for his record of failure and his humiliating coaching record ahead of Super Bowl Sunday.
In case you missed it: Derek Dooley recently put out a new video claiming that “your film is your resume,” seemingly unaware that he is widely known as one of the “biggest disasters in SEC history.” Earlier this week, DPG released a video reminding Dooley of his own ridiculously laughable film that made his “ass goes to the bench” and earned headlines across the country.
During his time at Tennessee, Dooley racked up a 15-21 losing record, including a 4-19 losing SEC record, before getting fired “after posting Tennessee’s longest run of consecutive losing seasons in over a century.”
Now, on his flailing U.S. Senate campaign, the only thing Dooley has to run on is his record as a loser football coach.

The new billboard comes right before the Super Bowl — a milestone Dooley never reached during his time in the NFL — and represents the DPG’s latest investment in the race after running billboards hitting Carter, Collins, and Dooley last month.
“Derek Dooley is a failed and fired former Tennessee football coach who is undeniably one of the worst to ever do it,” said Democratic Party of Georgia Senior Communications Advisor Devon Cruz. “Somehow, Derek Dooley’s terrible film proves that he would be an even worse United States Senator than he was a football coach, and that would be devastating for the people of Georgia.”
