Making a Difference in our Communities
It's about community, about making your world, your country, your town, and your neighborhood a better place to live.
That's why the Democratic Party of Georgia has teamed up to create Georgia Democrats Work, a statewide project to put our volunteers to work for the greater good, and to answer President Obama's call for a renewed commitment to community service.

Making a Difference: Georgia Democrats Work Expands Statewide
5/19/2009There was an excellent turnout for the kick-off events in the metro-Atlanta area.

As you can see, there was a lot of enthusiasm for getting out there and getting to work!
Besides the 4 events held in April:
ACFB Community Garden and Park Pride, April 4th
Hosea Feed The Homeless Set up for Easter Dinner, Saturday April 11th
April 18th, Earth Day project.
Any Soldier Inc., Preparation of Care Packages for Deployed Georgia Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, April 25th
The House Painting project on May 2nd was the best one yet. Volunteers turned out to paint the recently repaired home of a disabled senior with the guidance of ToolBank Atlanta. This is one we will definitely be returning to!
Volunteerism is a time-honored American tradition. Whenever and wherever people need help other Americans are always there to offer a hand. Add to that legacy by joining us in the Georgia Democrats Work campaign.
